Welcome to the Warlords Wiki!

Introduction[]

We are a collaborative community website dedicated to chronicling Steve Fawkner's Warlords series of turn-based strategy games released between 1990 and 2003. Absolutely anyone is welcome, from the 30-year-veterans to the newcomers of gog.com, to help contribute to the documentation and discussion of one of the greatest series of the genre!

The Games[]

Each of the four major instalments are high-fantasy turn-based strategy games, not dissimilar to the Heroes of Might and Magic series. They are renowned for their unique blend of RPG-like hero development with traditional produce-and-conquer armies, all contained within no-nonsense battles that get straight to action in a matter of turns.

Note that the lore, high-level hero plus army mechanics, and succession of game development carries on from this turn-based series into the real-time Warlords Battlecry series, which is not covered here but has an excellent Fandom already at etheria.fandom.
